Medium Armor

We'd like to fill the gap between the light armor and the battlesuit with a medium body armor, which provides a tradeoff between protection and agility to the human troopers. Visually it should have a mass that's somewhere between the two but it doesn't need to be a simple blend between them: Feel free to create something that's playing a different role.

If you manage to create a piece where one can't determine the carrier's sex by looking at him or her that would speedup our modeling progress and reduce download size and memory usage of the game. Otherwise we would need to create two meshes but still one concept for either sex would be fine as long as the armor's breast and waist area can easily be rescaled to fit the other one. Rule of thumb: If hiding the problematic spots would lead to a piece that looks as heavy as the battlesuit, rather go with one version per sex.

Status changed to draft since we might use the Battlesuit concept for the Medium Armour and create an even heavier Battlesuit instead.

Closed. We will use the battlesuit concept as it was intended in the first place. For now we'll try to use only a part of the current light armor and add the other parts (in addition to texture modifications) for the medium one.
