Well, I've started just making little musical clips that I thought might fit the Unvanquished project. Attached to this post is the first one, and I'll post more as I make 'em. Since TremFusion has officially abandoned the in-game music idea, we can use everything I've created for that project in Unvanquished instead. Track one - I envision this to be a sort of intro type track, if not for the title screen then for some intro part of the game.

Congratulations VortexX, you just inspired me to cross the line from sacrilege, skip over blasphemy entirely, and jump headlong into heresy. I'ma piss on you whilst they're tying me to the heretic-burning stake. Also, I just kicked your dog. - Kaine

Not bad. Question: Have you ever considered trying to create an epic? Something sorta like this style wise?

I could see this as background music during some pointin the game (probably while exploring on the alien planet) or as loading muziks? But its very nice, simple, not distracting, and it kinda get me a little anxious, as if something could happen any time... perfect for a game.

Makes me feel like playing Spore again, for some reason. I can also pinpoint it to the main menu where in the background camera travels through landscapes with game name floating on top. I could hardly imagine it while playing the game, though. It's too slow and laid back for a fast shooter. Generally, I like it It has a kind of a classic gaming feel to it.

I dig it.
If it were for the mod (as in 3-team Tremulous MP), then it would be great for the "Unvanquished" splash screen, or the "Play/Mods/Controls" menu.
If it were for the game (nudge-wink), then it would be great for some area early in the game, when you are first exploring the world, or, later in the game, after some action, when you are catching your breath, or, alternatively, either in a puzzle/switch/toggle/trickjump part of the game, or some part where the "action" is sniping enemies at a distance, maybe in the dark, with the chill vibe of the music juxtaposed against the impersonal violence of long-distance head shots at night.
Very cool.

Two more files. First one is really spacey and ambient, second has got guitars and is quite a driving/edgy piece.

I love the end of Cinematik... but the pop noise and the noise that sounds like a laser gun really bother me in the beginning later, it is covered up. Oh and ill let Spork speak for Dynamite

Ahahahaaha... I am not making this up... I was listening to the first one, nice and calm, slow, when all of a sudden a very different sound started... What happened is that I had stubleupon open, had hit stumble, and than switched windows to play vortexx's song. The new stumbleupon page, which happened to contain a video took a bit to load, and the result was about 30 seconds into vortexx's song THIS starts blaring in my headphones. I forgot about the stumbleupon video, and thought this was some strange joke by vortexx that everyone had failed to mention... Needless to say I was very confused until I paused vortexx's song and realized MOTHAFUCKAS was still playing. Oh and nice songs.

So, I made this little song today: http://flexstylemusic.com/downloads/singles/Industry.mp3And I think it would make a rad awesome title screen song. But that's just me. In any case, I think it would be a great addition to the music library for Unv.
